I have been on a wild journey of discovery my whole life.
In 2010 I hit a crossroads. I felt completely out of sync with Life. I was working in a career that would never serve my highest good; that made me depressed and unfulfilled (I was an Accountant for those of you who are curious). I was existing; not living.
I decided to take a chance on Life and pursued my passion in Personal Training. I finally knew what it felt like to love my job.
I first tried yoga as a way to increase my flexibility and to balance out my intense strength&cardio training. It quickly became a perfect compliment to my fitness routine. I was hooked.
As my practice deepened, my mindset and outlook on life started shifting. I’ve always been an on-the-go kinda girl and suddenly here was yoga asking me to slow down and breathe. That was really hard for me to do. It still is.
Moving to Australia in 2012 gave me the opportunity to pursue my yoga teaching qualification with The Yoga Space. I fell pregnant with my first baby during my training and instantly connected with sharing yoga with my unborn baby. It was a deeply spiritual experience for me.
I graduated in 2014 just before falling pregnant with my second baby. Yoga continued to be a strong influence in how I approached my now very busy, very active life as a mom. It was exactly what I needed to create those moments of calm amongst the chaos that 2 little boys can bring.
Since 2014 I’ve been fortunate enough to have taught kids, women, pregnant mummas, men, corporates and cancer survivors. All incredible people using yoga to better their lives.
